The UE5 project and the 2026 game

A long-running Unreal Engine 5 project is not Nintendo’s 2026 game. LevelUp and 80.lv both say the makers stopped it in June 2026.

How to tell them apart

Nintendo’s game is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, on sale 5 November 2026, with a store page, a price, and review scores. The UE5 project was a community production that showed forest and character tests for years. It never became the game on the eShop.

LevelUp says the team halted work because Nintendo’s announcement collided with the project and because of legal risk. 80.lv reports the same stop. I am not linking a download, a build, or a file host.

Length comparison

A search asks how long the community project is next to the original. There is no finished public build to time. I will not invent an hour count. The 2026 game’s times are on the how-long page, and they describe Nintendo’s release only.
