Switch 2 exclusive, and the bundle

What the store lists

The US digital page and the Wikipedia entry both name Nintendo Switch 2 as the platform. The US physical listing is a Switch 2 card. I do not treat a missing sentence that says “not on Switch 1” as a maybe. The catalog only has the Switch 2 version.

Store features called out on the US and Japan pages include HDR, VRR, amiibo, surround sound, and single-player. Language support on those pages covers a wide set that includes Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, simplified and traditional Chinese, and Portuguese.

40th anniversary console

Nintendo sells a 40th anniversary Switch 2 for $519.99, dated 29 October 2026. The box has the console, dock, green and gold Joy-Con 2, a Joy-Con 2 grip, and two wrist straps. The store page says the game is not included.

If you want the hardware and the game, add the game price on top: $59.99 digital or $69.99 physical in the US. Several reports say the anniversary console sold through in places. Nintendo has said it is restocking and has not given a date or a count, so I will not write “in stock”.

The console’s own screen is 7.9 inches at 1080p, and the dock can output up to 4K. That is the hardware spec. Whether this game renders at 4K is a different question, answered on the performance page.

Is Ocarina of Time remake only for Switch 2?

Yes. Nintendo’s store pages list a Switch 2 version and no other platform.

Does the $519.99 bundle include the game?

No. The 40th anniversary console page says the game is not included.

Is there a Switch 2 Edition upgrade?

No upgrade pack is listed. This is a Switch 2 game from the start.
