Editions

There are two game editions on Nintendo’s US store: a download and a card. A collector’s box was not announced.

Digital and physical

The US download is $59.99 and includes an early-purchase wallpaper if you buy by 23 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. Japan uses the same wallpaper cutoff. Korea’s digital wallpaper cutoff is 8 November, so the date is not global.

The US card is $69.99. First-print cards in Europe and North America use a textured foil cover. That cover is a print run, not a separate SKU. Japan’s early physical bonus is five A5 art cards, a standee, and stickers.

A retail “digital code” is a store download code you redeem on the eShop. It is not an in-game reward code. This game has no reward-code system.

Game-Key Card or standard card

Beebom’s comparison chart marks a Game-Key Card. HowToVideoGame says the box is a standard card and that the bottom does not carry a GAME-KEY CARD strip. Nintendo’s store page does not label either way. I am not picking a winner. Look at the bottom of the box before you buy.

Accessories, not editions

Game8 lists a 40th anniversary Pro Controller at $99.99, a Pro Controller with a display stand at $109.99, and a case plus screen protector at $39.99. Those are accessories. They are not editions of the game.

Questions

Is there a collector’s edition?

Not on the Nintendo store. Only digital and physical game SKUs are listed, plus a separate anniversary console.

What is the foil cover?

A textured first-print sleeve on some physical boxes. See the foil-cover page for the region split.

How do I redeem a retail download code?

Enter it on the Nintendo eShop. It installs the game. It does not unlock an in-game bonus code.
